About

I'm a Web3 community professional with 2+ years of experience architecting, managing, and scaling communities across Discord, DAO infrastructure, and DeFi ecosystems.

My edge isn't moderation — it's systems thinking applied to community health. I design onboarding flows, engagement architectures, moderator playbooks, and retention loops that compound over time and run without me in every conversation.

I've contributed to 10+ projects, built Discord servers from scratch, founded two communities, and taught community management — all within Web3.

Building in public as SOULONCHAIN — documenting the operator's perspective on Web3 community strategy.

Case Study

Building Web3 Africa's community infrastructure — from an empty server to a functioning ecosystem.

When I joined Web3 Africa, there was no server, no team, no systems. My mandate was to build it. This documents what that looked like.

From architectural decisions, to what I actually shipped, to the outcomes that resulted — in full operator detail.

Learnings

"There was no server to improve — I had to build the entire infrastructure from scratch, design the culture, and make it function before anyone arrived."

No Infrastructure Existed
Zero Discord server, zero channels, zero roles, zero bots. Every structural decision had to be made from first principles with no template to follow.
No Operational Team or Playbooks
Without documentation, community quality would be entirely dependent on my constant presence — which doesn't scale at all.
Engagement Had to be Created, Not Sustained
An empty server has no gravity. Activity had to be engineered before community health could be managed. That's a harder problem than most realise.
Dual-Track Event Coordination
Web3 Africa's strategy involved both online and physical events, requiring cross-team coordination while simultaneously running the digital community.
1
Architect the Discord Server
Designed the full channel structure — information, discussion, community zones, mod-only areas, announcements. Built the role hierarchy with clear permission levels. Configured bots for automation, welcome flows, and engagement. Goal: a server that functions without my constant presence.
2
Build the Moderator & Ambassador Playbooks
Created detailed operational guides covering conflict resolution, escalation protocols, event hosting, and daily responsibilities. Written from operator experience — immediately actionable, not theoretical. This was the foundation for scale.
3
Design an Activation Engine
A new community needs engineered momentum. I launched structured activity programmes — discussions, AMAs, educational threads — designed to generate consistent signals of life in the server. A community that looks active attracts members.
4
Coordinate Events — Online & Physical
Worked with the Web3 Africa core team on Twitter Spaces, Discord voice events, workshops, and physical meetups. Each event was a community-building touchpoint, not a one-off — designed to strengthen connections between members.
5
Establish Culture Deliberately
Culture doesn't happen by accident. I set the tone early — norms around respect, information sharing, and participation. The Moderator Guide reinforced this at scale, ensuring my approach was replicated consistently across the team.

Systems That Outlast
The community runs on documented systems and a trained team — not one person being everywhere.
Full
End-to-End Ownership
Infrastructure, culture, operations, events — a complete community architecture delivered solo.
Infrastructure First, Activity Second
Rushing engagement before architecture is solid creates fragile communities. A well-structured server makes everything downstream significantly easier.
Documentation Is Infrastructure
A community that lives in one person's head is a liability. The Moderator Guide wasn't admin work — it was the foundation for culture at scale.
Activation Needs Designed Momentum
New communities don't spring to life naturally. Engagement must be intentionally engineered with structured activities before organic momentum kicks in.
Physical Events Bridge to Real Trust
In-person events convert online connections into real relationships — durability that feeds back into the digital community and makes it stickier.
